At Esprit, I explore the structure and transformation of psychic experience through an ongoing dialogue between psychopathology, philosophy, and the humanities.

扱うテーマは、幻覚や妄想、気分といった身近なものから、今日ではあまり論じられなくなった疾患類型、パラノイア問題、ファントム空間論、そしてそれらをめぐる思想史まで多岐にわたります。
ここでは、診断や知識の整理だけでなく、「その体験はどのように成り立っているのか」、「私たちは何を正常と呼び、何を異常と呼ぶのか」 といった問いを大切にしています。

The themes addressed here range from relatively familiar phenomena such as hallucinations, delusions, and mood, to disease categories that are less frequently discussed today, the problem of paranoia, phantom space theory, and the intellectual histories surrounding them.
This site is concerned not only with diagnosis or the organization of knowledge, but also with questions such as how these experiences are constituted and what we call normal and what we call abnormal.
